I see this product is listed as beta. Is it stable?
I wrote the notifier for my own use on a Xubuntu desktop and have decided to share it. I have only had the time to test it on a Linux system with a squid http proxy. It is listed as beta as it should be able to work on other linux distributions, but I have not tested it.

The most robust help is in the example properties file that is in the program directory. It is also used to start your user's settings file.
